3 Must-See Views In Paso Robles

Where do you go in Paso Robles when there are over 300+ wineries to visit? Why not the ones with spectacular, knock your socks off views? That’s why we’ve developed our own rating system for winery views from one glass to 10 glasses of wine. Take a splash with us into these three wineries with fabulous views below!

1.      Views At Calcareous Vineyard | Eight Glasses Of Wine

What’s synonymous with views and golden customer service? Look no further than Calcareous Vineyard. With wine created in small batches, you’re guaranteed craftsmanship in every glass of wine you taste here. Travel to the top of their hilltop wine tasting room, Lloyd’s Lookout, and grab a glass of wine before sitting outside. This is the prime location for a famous Paso Robles Picnic. (At the end of this, we’ll share with you how to make your own, Paso Robles Picnic.)

Calcareous Vineyard is open seven days a week; make a reservation with them here.

2.      Views At Halter Ranch | Nine And A Half Glasses Of Wine

Halter Ranch is easily one of the rarest wineries on the Central Coast because here, the tasting room inside rivals the breathtaking beauty found outside its doorstep. While a bit of a drive, which is no problem in our luxury Mercedes LandJet Sprinter, the journey is well worth it! Once you’re here, you’ll be greeted with miles upon miles of natural beauty and vines. Known for both their views and activities, you won’t be bored as you enjoy the surrounding beauty. You can tour their winery on horseback, hike the ranch, or take a behind-the-bottle tour.

Halter Ranch is open seven days a week; make a reservation with them here.

3.      Views At DAOU Family Estates | Eleven Glasses Of Wine

Now, I know we said we’re ranking from one to ten, but you won’t be able to find views from DAOU Family Estates anywhere else in Paso Robles or on the Central Coast. Their mountain towers over the Central Coast and is the highest winery in the area. This is why they’ve topped our chart and ranking system with eleven glasses of wine. If you were looking for a Napa meets Paso Robles experience, you’ll find it here!  (The best of both wine tasting regions if you ask us.) Tastings on DAOU Mountain include an al fresco culinary and wine pairing.

4.      Bonus: Crafting A Paso Robles Picnic

So, how does someone create their own famous Paso Robles Picnic? Well, it comes down to five essential elements, cheese, charcuterie, bread, olive oil and wine. The first step is to secure some handcrafted cheese from Stepladder Creamery. They offer small-batch cheeses from their heard of LaMancha goats, in addition to their cow’s milk cheeses. Then you can pick up your charcuterie from Alle Pia Salami. They offer seven specialty salami offering unique tastes in the Italian tradition. After your charcuterie is picked up, the final two ingredients are fresh bread, a local bakery, Hush-Harbor (well-beloved by locals for its extraordinary freshness), and olive oil from Groves on 41.

There are many other scenic wine tour settings to see on a Paso Robles wine tasting tour, but these are by far the best wineries for views.
